An unplanned road trip took us to Crickhowell where we drove past The Manor and decided on a whim to stay the night. From outside it looks very modern but on the inside it has a very classic, antique feel. An incredibly beautiful hotel with local art for sale displayed in all the main areas. We received amazing service from all the staff right from checking in, to checking out! The hospitality was definitely world class. The menu had a good variety and the food did not disappoint. We finished off the evening with a glass of wine in front of the fire.
The Manor is the perfect place for a romantic getaway. So whether you're on honeymoon or just a short break, this place will do you well. They have many facilities that will ensure you stay occupied without leaving the hotel including a leisure suite where you can relax any tired, aching muscles in their heated leisure pool, sauna, steam room, or Jacuzzi. For the more enthusiastic guest, they have a gym, where qualified fitness instructors are on hand.
The Manor Hotel is situated in the heart of The Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains making it the ideal base for those who wish to participate in the many outdoor, sporting and venture activities the area has to offer. Those activities include fly-fishing, hiking, caving and climbing, horseback riding, cycling, golf, sailing, gorge walking, kayaking, clay pigeon shooting, and falconry.
Finally, The Manor is also a wedding venue with a variety of options for your big day!
But there is a lot of fun things to do around Crickhowell if you are one for discovering. We adored The Welsh Venison Centre which is less than 10 minutes away. And another great place to purchase a souvenir is Nicholls Crickhowell. I'm a sucker for anything stag related.
