On Valentine's Day I had the opportunity to assist with a wedding at Wrest Park. What a beautiful setting with manicured gardens and stunning buildings. Catherine and Kenneth had a very special and intimate ceremony. During the speeches, Catherine's son, Oliver, proposed to his girlfriend, Charlotte... So all in all... a rather romantic February 14th!
Entering the French-style mansion really takes your breath away. From the foyer, to the portraits, the high ceilings, the Library, and the Drawing Room, the details in this 18th century English Heritage site will give your wedding a classic and timeless feel.
Nikki, the wedding coordinator, will help you plan your wedding and ensure every detail is taken care of. She'll take you through all the options, show you around the mansion and answer any questions you may have. On the day, she is also on hand to orchestrate the setting up and ensure that your day runs smoothly.
Lined with books on three walls and with elaborate gilded plasterwork, the Library provides an elegant setting for up to 100 guests.
Once the setting for dances and entertainment, the rich blue Drawing Room boasts original Louis XV features including a painted gilded ceiling and can seat up to 60 people for the ceremony.
I met Tom and Javeria in the foyer where they were busy looking at the venue and considering it as an option for their big day. A nice little romantic activity to do on the annual day of love!
