Winter Wedding Photography Course - With Brett Harkness

After reading John Colson's blog about Brett's courses I was convinced to book myself into one of these. I mean, John does amazing work and I've trusted his opinion with a bunch of other things.

My expectation was that the course was going to be focussed only around flash and lighting. But it wasn't. Brett shares a lot of tips around how to make your business successful. And he really wants you to succeed, and grasp, what he is teaching. It seemed very important to him to not only show you how to take a brilliant photograph, but he wants you to understand how you got there.

We went out to a location to shoot some venue related stuff. It was freezing. Nemesis models, Vera and Michael, did such an amazing job of not looking frozen. Vera was rocking a stunning vintage wedding gown from Novaks Exclusive Bridal Lounge with hair and make up by Zan Atkinson.

When we got back to the house, Kirstie had coffee, tea and biscuits waiting. She had thoughtfully placed takeaway cups out too! I don't normally drink coffee but as I had a four hour journey ahead of me I was delighted!

And a special thank you to James who did our lighting! Thank you for also sharing your knowledge and being so patient with us!

I would definitely recommend doing Brett's courses. Whether you are a professional wedding photographer, or just starting out - he has something for everyone! And the trek up from Waddesdon was worth it!
